Come and see our mobile workspace divider range in London and Birmingham in 2023!

We’re looking forward to exhibiting at three shows over 2023 at locations in London and Birmingham. We’ll be demonstrating our newest concept, a mobile office divider that offers drywipe surface to both sides, space for an AV screen, and integrated storage.

ThinkingWall AV Divider

Building on the ThinkingWall AV Divider, this option can be fitted with any type of screen or monitor and connected to a computer, laptop or other AV devices. Integrate collaborative meeting technology into a freestanding wall to use anywhere in the workplace. Units are available either with mains power or a rechargeable battery for a completely cable-free solution.

The unit features the same neat storage in each end as our ThinkingWall Stor. One end has shelving and the other features a hanging rail. Additional cupboards in the bottom can be fitted with an automatic light.

ThinkingWall Stor whiteboard mobile office storage wall

As with our other mobile walls, this AV Divider/Stor hybrid can be easily moved around the workspace for team meetings and collaboration sessions. At 2.2m in length and 1.9m high, it also makes a very effective mobile room divider for large open plan spaces.

New product release: battery powered mobile TV whiteboard unit

Battery powered mobile TV whiteboardunit

Battery powered mobile TV whiteboardunit

We are extremely pleased to launch a new and improved version of our ThinkingWall Mobile Acoustic AV now with integrated rechargeable battery.

Providing up to 6 hours of power on a full charge the battery powered unit offers truly wireless functionality. When not in use it can easily be plugged into the mains to top up the battery or a full charge from empty takes around 8 hours.

The ThinkingWall Mobile Acoustic AV features space to mount a TV of up to 50 inches that will run on the built-in battery. With no trailing cables, the mobile wall can be positioned anywhere, even where there is no power supply. A battery powered option is particularly useful in spaces where it is difficult to route electric cabling to the centre of the room, for example in historic buildings. No wall socket or floor box is required to use while running, and when the day is over it can be easily moved to the nearest power supply for recharging.

Surrounding the TV mounting space is 12mm acoustic panel made from a minimum of 65% recycled PET, available in a choice of colours. Built in USB and HDMI ports make it easy to connect a webcam, speaker, or external storage device. The reverse is drywipe and magnetic whiteboard, ideal for collaboration sessions or display.

The AV unit is designed to complement the rest of the ThinkingWall Acoustic range, which includes the Mobile Freestander, Acoustic Curve, and Acoustic Shelves. The design aesthetic is sleek and modern, with sculptural ridged acoustic panel and simple low-profile base with exposed ply edge finish. Each unit is fitted with sturdy, lockable castors making it easy to move into position to reconfigure space, and it will even fit into a standard passenger lift.

Battery powered mobile TV unit

There is a real desire currently for flexible, adaptable furniture solutions that are quick and easy to move around by teams themselves. This includes options that are powered, whether it’s a charging station that can move to where people are seated or something larger like a digital screen. One of the common challenges for teams is how to bring together those who are office based and those who are working elsewhere, and how to create collaboration zones that encourage interaction but maintain privacy. The ThinkingWall mobile acoustic range provides solutions to both problems as the units create a temporary wall, deliver acoustic privacy, and offer a digital connection to remote team members.

Logovisual will be showcasing the ThinkingWall® Mobile Acoustic AV  alongside other products in the range at Clerkenwell Design Week in London from 24th – 26th May 2022.

Logovisual at the Workspace Design Show 2021

The first Workplace Design Show took place at the Business Design Centre in Islington from 4th to 5th November 2021. Featuring suppliers and speakers specialising in the world of workplace interiors, the show succeeded in attracting a mix of architects, designers and end users seeking inspiration to shape future workspaces.

Cross sector idea sharing

We attended other events in the 18 months from 2020, both virtual and in person, and the resounding impression was that there isn’t any fixed workspace design model. It’s important that organisations design to fit their own industry and culture, and there is a lot a borrowing of ideas between sectors.

Soon it may be difficult to tell whether you’re in a hotel lobby, airport lounge or high-class corporate pied-à-terre for out of town employees. Is that a bad thing though?

What do people want from the office?

Many people need the office because they lack any other space to be able to work. Some people want to meet with others face to face, for formal meetings or just convivial co-working. Others crave a quieter space, or the familiarity of a routine that includes a commute as headspace between home and work. The Workspace Design show presented solutions to fit all of these needs.

Sound insulation

We saw a number of sound-insulated booths for those who need complete isolation from noise, enough evidence in itself that not everyone wants wall to wall teamworking in the office. We also saw numerous acoustic panel solutions, which will hopefully lead to more creative ways to separate different teams or individuals working on different tasks. Nooks and booths for an intimate meeting for two were popular also.

Moveable furniture

For the most part all of these options were fixed, which seemed to miss an important opportunity. Even before the pandemic, our ThinkingWall range of mobile whiteboard-based furniture fit the brief for many who wanted flexible, adaptable work zones. When walls are on wheels, nothing needs to stay permanently in position.

Flex to fit

Hybrid working has become the norm for many in a relatively short space of time. For those for whom this model works, it means requirements for meeting spaces and workstations could change day to day.

Perhaps the ultimate solution is not to have one layout, but the option to change your mind?

Give us a call or fill out the form below, we’d love to chat about how we can make this happen.

Informal collaboration zone with ThinkingWall Freestander mobile whiteboard

People are getting ready to return to the office. Some of us want to, some of us have been told to; and some of us have been warned that our careers depend on it. But it now seems obvious that most of us will probably not be working full-time in the office. The working world […]
